When is The Drop happening?

The brand-new Lightup Hub launches on 8th September. Join the waitlist now to be the first inside.

Is there going to be an app?

The new Hub has been designed with mobile-first in mind, it works like an app straight from your browser on your phone (no downloads needed).

What’s different about the new Hub?

- A completely redesigned, mobile-friendly platform

- Smarter, faster lessons built for quick grade gains

- Personalised study journeys for every year group

- Continuous expansion of texts and resources across the year

I’ve never used Lightup before. How will it help me?

Lightup breaks GCSE English down into short, clear, examiner-backed steps. Whether you’re aiming for a pass or pushing for a Grade 9, you’ll get hacks, tools, and guided practice that make revision finally click.

Do I need to pay to join the waitlist?

Nope! Joining the waitlist is completely free, it just guarantees you’ll be the first to get updates and early access when The Drop lands. Not to mention joining the waitlist means you get entered into our prize draw to win an iPad mini, 1-1 tutoring and £100 voucher (of your choice) - not too shabby!

The draw will take place on the 10th September (anyone who signed up to the waitlist will be included) and we will notify you if you win - no need to contact us.

What content do you cover?

Right now we cover:

Literature: Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, An Inspector Calls, Jekyll & Hyde, A Christmas Carol, Love & Relationships Poetry, Power & Conflict Poetry and World & Lives Poetry

Language: Both GCSE English Language papers

+ Essay Skills & Revision

More texts will be added after launch and we’ll keep expanding throughout the year.

What exam boards do you cover?

Literature: Our texts work across all major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, Eduqas, OCR, and IGCSE) - check above for the texts we cover.

Language: Mainly supports AQA and Edexcel, but our writing techniques (essay, creative, persuasive) apply to any board. And they are worth the most amount of marks!

Will 2026 exam predictions be included?

Yes! 2026 predictions will be added later this school year.

My child struggles with English. Is this right for them?

Yes, Lightup is built for students who need English made simple. Lessons are short, interactive, and full of hacks that make grades rise quickly without overwhelm.

Can I see what the new site looks like?

Not until launch day 👀. We’re keeping it under wraps - join the waitlist to be first to see it.
